Vanessa is a senior media and corporate affairs executive with over 25 years of experience in-house in the UK and Australia. She now works as a consultant and advisor, supporting a broad spectrum of clients. She is a specialist in highly regulated sectors, in particular financial services and energy.

 

Vanessa is experienced in advising c-suite executives on reputation and crisis management, crisis preparedness including cyber, communications strategy, major campaigns, leadership and enterprise change communications, and profile raising. 

 

Vanessa also works with individuals on their personal and professional branding. This includes identifying tone of voice, subject matter expertise, and developing profiles, content, and strategy. As a certified personal stylist, she support clients to bring the whole package together, so they express themselves with clarity, lead with authenticity, 'dress for the job they want', and make the most of media and speaking opportunities.

 

Vanessa worked in-house for the Bank of England, Reserve Bank of Australia, AMP Advice, APA Group, and the Australian Finance Industry Association. She led the communications division of the Reserve Bank for eight years, including during the Global Financial Crisis. She has a deep understanding of the full spectrum of media, social media, and other external and internal communication channels.

Vanessa has a BSc (Hons) in economics and econometrics from York University.
